Iowa returns to practice field for bowl preparation

December 22, 2005 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes returned to the practice field on Wednesday and coach Kirk Ferentz says the attention has shifted to Florida. The Hawks will take on the Gators in the Outback Bowl in Tampa on January second. Ferentz says they’ve practiced a couple of times in the last few weeks and are getting back at it. He says they will face an excellent football team in Florida.

Ferentz says the workouts have shifted to game preparation. He says the plan was to focus on getting better at what they do, and now they can focus more on Florida. He says without classes and recruiting to contend with, they have more time to focus on the Gators. He says Florida does a lot of things well and they have a lot to work on.
