Reward offered in Northeast Iowa thefts

A one thousand dollar reward is now being offered in eastern Iowa for information on the theft of a bunch of high-tech and low-tech equipment from businesses in Oelwein and Independence. The Hub City Implement company in Oelwein was burglarized on December 9th and again on January 5th. Rowley Equipment in Independence was broken into on December 16th. Thieves took 14 laptop computers, 15 chain saws, one desktop computer, four leaf blowers, five pressure washers, three battery chargers and many John Deere power tools. Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Oelwein police or the Buchanan County Sheriff.
