Three teens charged with assaulting girl

Three 14-year-old northwest Iowa boys are facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a teenage girl. Michael Mohr and Patrick Higgins of Early and Josh Dawson of Storm Lake were arrested Sunday. Storm Lake Police captain Todd Eskine says detective have been investigating the incident that happened January 4th. He says the three boys entered a home in Storm Lake without permission, found a 14-year-old girl sleeping there and held her down and tied her ankles with electrical tape.

Police say the three boys touched the girl inappropriately and the victim suffered bruises during the assault. all three are charged with first degree burglary, and also face a count of false imprisonment. The three are being held at the youth detention facility in Cherokee.
