Mount Pleasant police try to identify body found

January 11, 2006 By admin

Authorities in southeast Iowa still have few clues into the identity of a dead body found near Mount Pleasant. A Mount Pleasant utility crew was looking for a broken main west of town this (Wednesday) morning and instead found a body. The utility notified the Henry County Sheriff’s office around 7:30 this morning saying they’d found the body of a man in Big Creek, near the Highway 34 bridge. No other details are available yet, though the DCI’s sent agents to help investigate.
