Drake downs Indiana State

January 12, 2006 By admin

The Drake Bulldogs survived an early three point barrage by Indiana State and the Bulldogs went on to claim a 76-59 victory in Des Moines. The Sycamores connected on their first six three point attempts and jumped out to an early eight point advantage.

Drake coach Tom Davis on his postgame show on K-R-N-T says it wasn’t easy as he says he thought the Sycamores were very well prepared for them. The Bulldogs will host Southern Illinois on Saturday night. The Salukis are unbeaten in the Valley race. Davis says that shows how well S-I-U is playing, but he says the need a win.
Drake is 3-3 in the Valley and 10-7 overall.
