Search on for clues to Bremer County man’s death

January 19, 2006 By admin

Authorities in northeast Iowa are investigating the death of a Bremer County man. A relative discovered the body of 52-year-old Paul McKinney in his Sumner home on Wednesday. Officials with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Bremer County Sheriff’s office, and the Bremer County Attorney’s Office are all trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Investigators are collecting evidence and conducting interviews.

So far, authorities are classifying the case as a death investigation — not a homicide. The state medical examiner is planning an autopsy in Des Moines to determine the cause of McKinney’s death.
