A man from the central Iowa town of Williams has been named the executive director of the U.S. Homeland Security advisory committee. Douglas Hoelscher was most recently the White House liaison. He’ll represent Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff at the advisory council, 20 departmental boards and commissions and on two presidential committees.
