Nodaway Valley advances in 2A

March 15, 2006 By admin

Sixth ranked Nodaway Valley jumped out to a ten point lead at half enroute to a 55-47 win over Solon in a class 2A quarterfinal. Tyler Raasch led the Wolverines with 14 points and like has happened so often this year they combined a quick start with balanced scoring. Raasch says they started the year with slow starts in games, but he says lately they’ve been starting fast.

Solon’s Matt Lesan came in averaging 24 points per game. He finished with seven points on two of 13 shooting. Lesan says they played straight up man to man and didn’t do anything too different against him
Nodaway Valley improves to 25-1. Solon closes out the season 23-3.
