Storm Lake man wanted in shootings

April 14, 2006 By admin

Authorities in northwest Iowa are searching for a Storm Lake man who’s wanted in connection with two shootings last (Thursday) night. Buena Vista County Sheriff Chuck Eddy says the shootings happened in a rural area northwest of Storm Lake. A 27-year-old man was shot once while a 25-year-old had several gunshot wounds. Both are being treated at a Sioux City hospital.

Eddy says preliminary investigation indicates an altercation broke out between three men. Eddy says a handgun was fired by one man at both of the victims. The reason for the altercation isn’t known. Authorities are attempting to locate 20-year-old Ulises Morales-Garcia, described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. Morales is considered a suspect and may be armed.

Anyone with any information concerning his whereabouts should contact the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Department immediately.
