Iowa Falls murder trial underway

August 1, 2006 By admin

The trial of an Iowa Falls man charged in the shooting death of another Iowa Falls man is underway in Hardin County. Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Keith has been charged with first-degree murder in the June 2005 death of 22-year-old Paul Cory. Keith allegedly shot Cory multiple times in front of a resident with a least five witnesses looking on.

Keith then fled the scene and led law enforcement on a chase that ended on a gravel road southeast of Iowa Falls and a three-hour standoff ensued. Keith eventually surrendered to authorities. The trial was delayed from earlier this summer at the request of defense attorneys. Keith has entered a written plea of not guilty.
