Registered sex offender from Cedar Falls arrested for soliciting minor girl

October 26, 2006 By admin

Cedar Falls Police have arrested a registered sex offender who allegedly used the internet to try and lure a teenage girl into having sex with him. Nineteen-year-old Christopher Troyer of Iowa City was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted enticement of a minor. Troyer had conducted chat room conversations with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

In the conversations, Troyer arranged for the girl to drive from her home in Iowa City to meet him for sex. Troyer is a registered sex offender stemming from two previous charges of second degree sexual abuse of a minor, which occurred in Linn County in 2001.
