November 11, 2006 By admin

A western Iowa man died Friday in Adair County after he lost control of his pickup on Highway 92, east of Greenfield. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 57-year old Morgan Day, of Stuart, was traveling east on Highway 92, about a half-mile east of the Madison County line, when the pickup he was driving entered the north ditch, rolled and collided with a vehicle that was there from a previous accident.

Officials report the conditions were snowy at the time of the crash, which occurred just before One p.m., Friday. Day and his brother, 46-year old Jon Day, of Brick, New Jersey –who was a passenger in the truck — were taken to the Greenfield Hospital, the younger Day was treated for his injuries and Morgan was pronounced dead.
