Iowa women look for win against Ohio State

February 2, 2007 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women need a win but it won’t be easy on Sunday when they visit fifth ranked Ohio State. The Hawkeyes are 3-6 in the Big Ten and have lost their last four games.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says not only have they lost, their two byes have come in the same period and that makes the stretch even long. Bluder says they’re not happy with the way they’re playing, but they’re not stressed out about it.

The current losing streak is her longest as the Iowa coach. Bluder says she doesn’t like losing, but has a lot of faith in the team. She says their lack of depth is hurting them now, but Bluder says she feels they should still be a good basketball team.

Iowa is 11-11 overall.
