Three killed in three-vehicle accident in SW IA

June 13, 2007 By admin

Three people, including two teenagers, died in a traffic crash early this afternoon in southwest Iowa.

Investigators with the Iowa State Patrol say the crash happened on Highway 34 in Union County when 17-year-old Kalita Moore was driving a car and attempted to pass a semi. Her vehicle then collided head-on with a pick-up driven by 24-year-old Jeremy Hodapp of Corning. Moore and two passengers in her car, 21-year-old Chris Lowe and 15-year-old Jolynn Kimball, all died in the crash. The victims are all from Creston.

Another passenger, 19-year-old Lisa McIntosh, was injured – along with Hodapp.
