First "Indy" race at Iowa Speedway

June 19, 2007 By admin

The Iowa Corn Indy 250 will provide a physical test for all the drivers.

It will be the first race at the Iowa Speedway for the Indy Racing League and track designer Rusty Wallace says handling will be critical to keep from wearing out the drivers.

He says the high speed, good grip of the new track and the fact that Indy cars don’t have power steering will be a factor for the drivers.

The Iowa Corn Indy 250 is Sunday.
