Iowa Games needs more volunteers

July 5, 2007 By admin

Officials with the Iowa Games are looking for volunteers to help with the summer games which will be held over two weekends this month. Executive director Jim Hallihan says the best way to sign on is by contacting the Ames Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and they can always use more help.

He says track and field always needs help, and they need help in cleaning up after the events. Hallihan says there a few sports that require a large number of volunteers to help run the events. Swimming and track and field are areas that need help.

You can contact the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau to find out where they need help. The Iowa Games are July 12th through the 15th and the 22nd through the 24th in Ames.
