Minden man dies in motorcyle accident

July 23, 2007 By admin

A western Iowa man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Pottawattamie County, Saturday. Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker says 30 year old Todd Garrett of Minden was fatally injured after he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve and hit a building in Minden. Danker says Garrett was traveling east on Main Street in Minden, when the accident occurred at around 1:50 A.M. Saturday.

Garrett was flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he was pronounced dead. Danker says Garrett had been drinking and alcohol may have contributed to the crash. Blood tests are being conducted to determine the level of alcohol in his system.
