Names released in fatal accident near Fort Dodge

The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a fatal car/pickup accident north of Fort Dodge Tuesday morning. Two people were killed and two injured as a result. The victims were identified as 58-year-old Michael Schelling of Lancaster,Pennsylvania and the driver of the 2001 Dodge Pickup, Carla Curl of Marshalltown.

Reportedly the Schelling car was heading northbound on 169 when it crossed the center line and collided with the Curl pickup head on. Two passengers in the Curl truck, 39-year-old Shannon Cooper and 33-year-old Renea Morrison both of Marshalltown were transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment.
