Creston principal enters plea in theft case

A Creston school official entered a plea in court today on a theft charge. The lawyer for Creston assistant principal Jan Harris entered a written plea of not guilty to fifth-degree theft. Attorney James Piazza Junior of Des Moines entered the plea prior to Harris’ scheduled appearance today.

Harris is accused of allegedly shoplifting 104-dollars and 90 cents worth of clothing from a Wal-Mart on August 21st. The attorney also requested a jury trial.
