ISU quarterback says limiting mistakes key to getting win

September 13, 2007 By admin

The Iowa State offense is working to limit mistakes as the Cyclones prepare for Saturday’s 55th meeting with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Cyclones have committed seven turnovers in the first two games and it is one of the reasons they are off to an 0-2 start.

Meyer says the guy who handles the ball obviously has to take care of it and not turn it over. He says execution is key as a lot of drives they have hurt themselves.

Meyer says there has been no problem picking up some changes with the new coaching staff and it comes down to execution. Meyer says they all understand what they have to do, and the mistakes are not because they aren’t comfortable with the offense. Meyer says they have to concentrate on winning their one-on-one battles every play.
