Northeast Iowa man hurt in plane crash

October 1, 2007 By admin

A northeast Iowa man was hurt in a weekend plane crash. Black Hawk County authorities responded to the crash near the Waterloo Airport about 8:30 on Saturday night. The small, private plane had been cleared to land and then dropped off radar. It was found in a soybean field north of the airport.

The pilot was the only person on board. 83-year-old Donald Walker of Cedar Falls was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City. No condition report has been released. The F-A-A is looking into the crash.
