Cedar Rapids native enjoying the racing scene

October 25, 2007 By admin

Cedar Rapids native Landon Cassill will make his fifth start of the season in the NASCAR Busch series this weekend at the Sam’s Town 250 in Memphis. Cassill drives for Hendrick Motorsports and these days makes his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Cassill says he hangs out with other friends that drive and keep busy and stay out of trouble.

Cassill has spent his first few races learning as much as he can and would like to break through with a solid finish this weekend. He says the pressure is going down and Memphis will be the perfect place to come through and have top 10 finish.

Cassill has never raced at Memphis but says he has been preparing for the track on a simulator and testing and setting up his car. Cassill has not been racing every weekend but he has been staying busy. He says he works out and tries to stay in shape. The race is Saturday afternoon.
