Northeast Hamilton voters go to the polls

November 27, 2007 By admin

Today is election day for residents in part of north-central Iowa. Voters in the Northeast Hamilton Community School District in Hamilton County are going to the polls today to decide on a two point two million dollar bond issue. The issue is for a new elementary addition to the current school building in Blairsburg.

Over the past month residents of the district have attended a series of informational meetings with board members, building study committee members and architects presenting plans for the addition that would house students in grades pre kindergarten through sixth. If approved construction could begin sometime in 2008. Polls will be open from noon until eight today.
