Waterloo police investigating homicide

The discovery of a man’s body in Waterloo has turned into a homicide investigation. An acquaintance found the body of 60 year old Jim Hendrix, Junior at the Renaissance Park Apartments. The high-rise complex is located just two blocks from downtown Waterloo.

Police say Hendrix was found in his apartment, but they aren’t releasing any details on the circumstances surrounding his death or how he died. Wednesday morning, the State Medical Examiner’s office performed an autopsy and ruled Hendrix death a homicide. The investigation continues.
