UNI hopes return of Reed will boost offense

December 11, 2007 By admin

The UNI guard court should get a lift this weekend with the return of Carlton Reed. The Iowa transfer has yet to play for the Panthers after suffering a broken bone in each foot.

UNI coach Ben Jacobsen says Reed should play Saturday against Wartburg, which gives them more options in the offense. He says Reed’s presence should help produce more points, as Reed has the ability to create some points on his own, and that has been missing from their offense. Jacobsen says Reed is able to get through and around screens and really create something.

UNI is 6-2 on the season.
