Luther College has a new football coach. Mike Durnin has spent the past seven years at his alma mater Wisconsin-LaCrosse where he served as defensive coordinator. Durnin says Lacrosse has always held a special place in his heart, and that is what attracted him to Luther, is that it’s a special place to a lot of people.

Durnin says the people attracted him to the job at Luther, and when he looked at what they’re doing in the league, he felt the team was very close to being successful. Durnin replaces Paul Hefty who resigned at the end of this past season after six years at the helm.
