UNI women look for upset against Cyclones

December 18, 2007 By admin

The UNI women will be looking to post an upset when they visit Iowa State, tonight, in college basketball action. The Panthers are 4-4 on the season. UNI coach Tanya Warren says the Cyclones are second in the country in three-point field goals made, and she says it’s important they run them off the three-point line.

Warren says it’s important to make ISU beat them from inside as opposed to the outside. Warren says the Cyclones thrive on the 3 and when they make a few, they get in a rhythm. On the offensive end, Warren says the Panthers need balance. She says they can’t rely on the 3 to be successful, even though they’re making almost 9 a game. Warren says they have to get the ball inside to make it a little easier on the three point shooting.

The Cyclones are 8-1 after rallying past Creighton on Sunday.
