Iowa City woman dies in accident

April 17, 2008 By admin

An eastern Iowa woman was killed in a head-on crash last night. The State Patrol says a car driven by 45-year-old Christine Smith, of Iowa City, crossed the center line of Highway 6 in Muscatine County about 8:30 last night.

Troopers say Smith’s Grand Am collided head-on with an S-U-V driven by 45-year-old Lori Hudson of West Liberty. Smith was killed. Hudson, and a passenger, 18-year-old Michelle Hudson, were both injured and rushed to University Hospitals in Iowa City.

No condition reports are being released. Troopers say all three women had been wearing seat belts.
