NCAA track championships begin today at Drake

The NCAA Track and Field Championships open this morning in Drake Stadium. The LSU men an women come into the national meet with the country’s top ranking.

LSU coach Dennis Shaver says it’s his first time coming to Drake and they’re looking forward to getting things started. One of the top contenders in the men’s race will be Florida State.

Florida State coach Bob Braman also says it’s his first time here and he calls it an "unbelievable facility." Braman says with good weather there could be some really great performances on the track. Action begins in Drake Stadium this morning with the Decathalon.
