Drake men’s soccer team 6-0

September 18, 2008 By admin

Off to their best start in the program’s history the Drake men’s soccer team is garnering national recognition with it’s first appearance in the national polls.

Drake coach Sean Holmes says it’s nice to be recognized in the Soccer America poll at 19 for the first time ever, as "everyone loves to be loved." The Bulldogs are 6-0 and have yet to surrender a goal this season. Holmes says they are not an overly defensive team, but keep the ball a lot. He says the have some guys in the middle who are "so bull headed" that they don’t want to lose.

Drake will play in a tournament at Stanford this weekend and besides a matchup with the host school will also take on California.
