Young girl killed in Gowrie accident

October 7, 2008 By admin

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle accident in the Webster County town of Gowrie late Monday afternoon that killed a four-year-old girl. Reportedly a 1999 Ford Pickup truck operated by Heather Fevold of Gowrie was backing up in a private drive when her daughter Dakota Fevold ran to the passenger side of the truck.

Fevold did not see the child and continued backing striking the girl. Fevold then pulled forward to free the child. Dakota Fevold was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge where she died of her injuries.
