Clarion company cutting 25 jobs

April 23, 2009 By admin

A north central Iowa ag equipment maker plans to trim its workforce. Clarion based Hagie Manufacturing Company announced Wednesday a reduction of 25 full and part time employees which is less than eight percent of the firm’s total employment.

Chief Operating Officer Alan Hagie said he blames the down global market for the job cutbacks at the Clarion firm. Hagie Manufacturing has been in business since 1947. The firm is responsible for producing self-propelled agricultural equipment such as tank sprayers and detasslers.
