Larson door and window company closing Clear Lake plant

November 9, 2011 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Larson Manufacturing is closing its Clear Lake plant and consolidating all operations into the factory at Lake Mills. Company officials say 68 people will lose their jobs due to the move, while another 90 will retain positions and move to the Lake Mills operation.

The company says that the Lake Mills plant is newer and features state-of-the-art technology, and that it was a tough decision to make because of the impact it creates. Larson is the largest manufacturer of storm doors and storm windows in the United States.
