One person shot near Rudd

April 23, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Few details are being released about a shooting in Floyd County last night. Floyd County authorities were called to a home just outside of Rudd where Sheriff Rick Lynch confirms a shooting took place. Lynch has not identified the victim, who was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City for treatment.

Lynch says there’s no danger to the public, meaning they are not searching for any suspects at this time. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has also been called in to assist in the investigation.
