Fort Dodge man dies in motorcycle accident

June 11, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The Iowa State Patrol says two motorcycles collided Saturday night in Calhoun County, killing one of the riders and leaving the other badly hurt. The victim is 19-year-old Jon Spencer of Fort Dodge. Reportedly, a southbound 2008 Kawasaki Ninja operated by 20-year-old Jake Glesney, also of Fort Dodge, collided with the rear end of a southbound 2007 Honda Shadow motorcycle operated by Spencer.

Both drivers were ejected from their motorcycles. Spencer was transported to a Pocahontas hospital where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. Glesney was transported from a Lake City hospital to an Omaha medical facility with life-threatening injuries.
