Powerball jackpot winners to be revealed

June 20, 2012 By Dar Danielson

A busload of people from Cedar Rapids arrived at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines this morning.  The Iowa Lottery says it will introduce the group as the winners of the $241 million Powerball jackpot at a news conference this afternoon.

The group of Quaker Oats workers in Cedar Rapids  reportedly has been buying tickets together for some time. A Lottery spokesperson says the ticket has been validated as the only winner for the June 13th drawing. It is the largest single jackpot won in Iowa.
