New homeowners find skeletal remains in Sac City basement

Some new homeowners in northwest Iowa made an usual discovery in their basement this week. A release from Sac City Police states the new owners of a home reported finding what are believed to be skeletal remains.

The remains were uncovered Monday afternoon as they were cleaning the basement of the home at 610 North Fifth Street in Sac City. Police say the skeletal remains have been sent the Iowa State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
