Wapsie Valley and Hinton face off for Class A title

November 15, 2012 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Second ranked Wapsie Valley will take on Hinton for the Class A championship. Hinton is led by dual-threat quarterback Morgan Wenzel, who Wapsie coach Tony Foster says is the key to the Hinton offense.

Foster says the Warriors have spent the majority of their practice time trying to get ready for Hinton’s multi-faceted offense that includes both the spread and some double-wing formations. He says every minute of practice time is crucial as you try to decide what you are going to stop.

Hinton has played all of their playoff games on the road, and will log more than 1,400 miles of bus time by the time they get home from today’s game. Foster gives his opponent a lot of credit for overcoming all that travel time as he says it requires great leadership from the players and the coaches.
