Davenport man sentenced for selling marijuana

January 17, 2014 By Dar Danielson

A Davenport man will spend over nine years in prison on drug charges. Thirty-four-year-old Marqueis Letrell Lewis was sentenced to 113 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Court records show Lewis regularly purchased marijuana from Edwin Goodwin of Davenport during a four-year time period beginning in 2008 so he could sell the drug to other people.

The records show Lewis was responsible for distributing over 1,500 pounds of marijuana in that time. Goodwin pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute marijuana and is awaiting sentencing..
