Ankeny man dies in Jasper County accident

February 3, 2014 By Matt Kelley

An Ankeny man was killed in a one car crash Sunday morning in Jasper County. The accident happened around 8:40 a.m. on Highway 330. A report from the Iowa State Patrol indicates 48-year-old Craig Dilley was driving an SUV that left the road and slammed into a rock creek bed.

The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage, trapping Dilley inside. Rescue workers used extrication tools to free Dilley, who was taken to a hospital by helicopter, but he did not survive.
