West Union man charged with sexual abuse

A northeast Iowa man is accused sexually abusing a teenage girl. The Fayette County Sheriff’s office revealed today that a sexual assault investigation lead to the arrest of 29-year-old Thomas Andrew Cannon on West Union.

Cannon was arrested at his home on Friday and charged third-degree sexual abuse. Investigators say the victim in the case is a 15-year-old girl, the investigation continues, and more charges could be filed. Cannon bonded out of jail on Saturday.
