Woodbury County releases body cam video of man in sewage lagoon

April 11, 2016 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The Woodbury County Sheriff’s Department has released body cam video from a deputy of the arrest of an Onawa man who fled after an attempted traffic stop. Deputies say 36-year-old Justin Derby led them on a chase that reached speeds of 117 miles-an-hour before he rolled the vehicle into a field near Salix and then fled to a sewage lagoon. The video shows deputies coaxing him out of the lagoon.

Caution: video contains graphic language.
