Tuesday’s action at state softball postponed

July 19, 2016 By Todd Kimm

ighsau-logo-300Torrential rain has postponed today’s action at the state softball tournament in Fort Dodge. After first delaying for two hours officials with the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union were forced to call off today’s action. There were reports of more than three inches of rain in the Fort Dodge area this morning.

It means today’s quarterfinal round schedule will now be played on Wednesday beginning in class 2A when Logan-Magnolia plays Central Springs at 11:00 a.m. and North Union tangles with Iowa City Regina at 11:30 a.m. All of the other quarterfinal round games Wednesday will retain their original start time.

Wednesday’s consolation round games have been moved to the outer fields at Rogers Park and the semifinal round in all five classes will still be played on Thursday.
