Missing Briar Cliff student’s remains may’ve been found

Police-lights-300x192Remains recovered from the Missouri River could be those of a missing Iowa man.

Union County South Dakota Sheriff Dan Limoges has confirmed that the remains of a body were recovered from the Missouri River Wednesday afternoon south of Elk Point, South Dakota.

No positive identification was determined, but it is believe to be the body of 23-year-old Briar Cliff University student Thomas Patterson who vanished while swimming with his friends on September 4th near Elk Point.

The remains have been sent to the medical examiners office at Sioux Falls for positive identification.
