The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the driver killed and another injured as the result of a two vehicle accident on Highway 169 four-and-a-half miles south of Humboldt on Monday night.
The name of driver fatally-injured is 42-year-old Amy Seward of Fort Dodge.
Reportedly, a northbound 2001 Honda Odyssey driven by Seward crossed the center line and collided head on into a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Travis Vaala also of Fort Dodge.
Both vehicles remained on the roadway. Seward was pronounced dead at the scene. Vaala was transported to Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge for treatment of his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
