Des Moines police are investigating their third homicide of the year.
Early Saturday morning, police responded to a call of a person down in a parking lot just north of the downtown.
They found the body of 25-year-old Darryn Brooks of Des Moines. Evidence at the scene indicated Brooks had been fatally shot. An autopsy is planned.
There are no reports of any suspects or arrests.
