The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating a fatal shooting in Ottumwa by a U.S. Marshal.
The DCI reports deputy U.S. Marshals attempted to serve an arrest warrant on 31-year-old Michael Zurek around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. During the attempt, one of the marshals shot Zurek and he died at the scene.
No marshals were hurt and no other details are being released.
