Northern Iowa health officials are trying to head off an outbreak ofHepatitis-A. An unusually large number of cases is reported in theEstherville area, according to Emmet County Public Health nurse MadonnaJohnson.Johnson says the number of cases is “in the teens” in the Emmet County andEstherville area. She’s recommending people take precautions to ward off afurther spread of the virus. She says it’s very hard to nail Hepatitis-Adown.Johnson says anyone who’s been vaccinated for Hepatitis-B is NOT going to besafe from getting the “A” strain.
