Big business will be able to bankroll Iowa politicians as a result of animpasse over a campaign finance reform bill. A bill which would reinstateIowa’s ban on corporate contributions will be vetoed by Governor Vilsack ashe objects to what he believes is an anti-union provision.Republicans want union members to -each year- provide written permission soa portion of their dues may be used for political purposes. Vilsack saysIowa law already allows union members to get out of such a deal anytime theywish.
