After winning the class 4Atitle last summer Des Moines Lincoln opens this season top ranked,Bettendorf is second, West Des Moines Dowling, Sioux City North and Iowa CityWest complete the top five. Defending champ Vinton-Shellbsurg is top rankedin class 3A, Oskaloosa is second then its Davenport Assumptipon, CharlesCity and Perry. Iowa Falls is top ranked in 2A and winning the title lastseason, North Polk is second followed by Algona Garrigan, Dyersville Beckmanand Council Bluffs St. Albert. Last years 1A champion Mason City Newmanmoves up a class and is ranked 8th. in 1A, Southeast Warren advanced to thestate tournament last season and opens top rated. Iowa Valley is second.Lisbon, Burlington Notre Dame and Nora Springs Rock Falls round out the topfive.
